Engineered with a scooped lower extension made from a soft polymeric blend to avoid any pressure points associated with a hard edge from occurring as a result of the boot pushing against the protector. The same scooped design is also applied to the upper extension, preventing the protector from digging into the skin and causing discomfort while riding. It offers Alpinestars' Dual Gear System (DGS), where both the upper and lower frames have integrated gear profiles that ensure a smooth hinge function to promote the natural articulation of the knee. The ergonomically sculpted frames of the SX-1 PLASMA Knee Protector feature strategically positioned rigid and flexible over-injected shells, providing a secure yet adaptive fit for a wide range of leg sizes. The Patella System is engineered to offer full coverage of the knee cup regardless of the degree of extension. At the same time, the rigid outer Patella System shell prevents injuries from handlebar strikes. Lightweight and comfortable, it is CE EN 1621-1:2012 LEVEL 1 verified. The slim ergonomic design makes these ultra-lightweight, and the dual strap closure system features a hook-and-loop closure with snap-fit buckles for easy in and out and a personalised, secure fit.
